Hi, I’m Howon
and this is my life story
ages 0–2: The Baby Era.
Lived with my grandparents. Not much to report.
ages 2–8: The Immigrant Era.
Followed my parents to America. Learned violin, and figure skating.
ages 8–14: The Skater Era.
Became a competitive figure skater. Skipped school to train until an injury ended the dream. Training was cruel. (6am-8am, 8pm-1am Mon-Fri). Definitely not healthy. But I learned discipline.
ages 14–15: The Valley of Despair.
I went back to school. I was ranked 244th out of 259 students in school. I got addicted to video games. Life was sad.
ages 15–18: The Moving Era.
Went to America to back to Korea to America again. Learned to adapt fast. I got my first job at a wedding hall buffet.
ages 18–21: The Wasted Era.
I went to college. I didn’t know what I wanted, or even stop to think about it. I was making bad decisions after bad decisions. I was lazy. I was broke.
ages 21–24: The “Oh f**k” era.
Got out of a 4 year relationship. I still had no clue what I wanted to do. I was lazy, yet I wanted to be rich. That was not a good combo. So I started trying a bunch of random things. I tried dropshipping, day trading, creating communities, flipping watches, selling toys on eBay. I crashed and burned for 3 years straight. Got sad. Pushed through it. I hit my goal of making passive income. Eventually learned that if you stick with “one thing” long enough, you can make anything work.
ages 24–26: The oh sh*t Era.
I started YouTube and finally found my “oh shit” moment. Fell in love with creating stories and knew this was what I was meant to do. However, nearly wrecked my health doing it because I was doing my PhD and YouTube full time.
ages 26–27: The Rebuild Era.
Burned out and drained, I started taking care of my health. My energy, mood, and mindset completely shifted. I brought my hrv from the 50s to 150s in a year and that’s when I decided to start my personal channel around health.
ages 27– : The The Next Era
